Laurence rushed off to check on the status of his grandfather, Vikter, as he received a letter telling him to come back to Drogynia ASAP. Meanwhile, Rynee was spotted by bounty hunters, who told her that her betrothed, Prince Eron Vasshion, had placed a price on her for capture and return to Quae Elfien. Crossel showed up just in time to aid her against the bounty hunters, then they set off for Drogynia together. Along the way, they happened upon Laurence in battle with a man who was dressed similarly to the bounty hunters they encountered earlier. This bounty hunter had badly hurt Laurence, causing a head injury which left him confused. They realized that the letter from Drogynia might have been a ruse to lure Laurence into a trap. However, they decided to continue on, anyway, as they had Dr. Aquila and their quest from Mame Solenara to consider.

Meanwhile, Morik, Elosian, Aelanah, Jaden, and the others busied themselves defending Yonsalyre from the oncoming Goblin invasion force. Though their strategy was excellent and they took down many Goblins, the overwhelming numbers proved too much for the Order to handle, and they were forced to give up the fight and make a retreat. Just then, an Order airship descended to lend a hand, blasting the Goblin’s leader with a cannon and aiding the party in escaping the town. As the ship ascended, they learned that a massive wave of Hellfire was encircling the entire town and closing in on them. If the airship arrived even slightly later, there would have been no escape for the party. Yonsalyre was doomed. Fortunately, they had gotten most of the townsfolk to evacuate the city via the drained irrigation tunnels leading far to the east of the town. However, there were now hundreds of homeless Hafhie, and to their knowledge, Dr. Aquila, Crossel. Laurence, and Rynee were likely victims of the same fiendish fires raging below.

Fortunately, this airship was already heading toward Drogynia, and as they traveled westward, they caught glimpse of Dr. Aquila’s carriage, learning that their friends were spared a grisly death in the fires that destroyed Yonsalyre. Together once again, the heroes sped off in the airship toward Drogynia, eager to speak with Mame Solenara, discover the fate of Archbishop Van Drake, and unravel the conspiracy to destroy Wyrmshadow’s fledgling peace.
